Communications Intern

Looking for someone who is a strong writer, well organized, Internet/e-mail savvy, personable, who would like to help coordinate the communications plans for the WPC 2016. Must have experience in this area, strong understanding of how to manager a communications plan and follow through with outreach to media and to build media connections and increase exposure.

 

Location: New York City

Compensation: Hourly wage, commensurate with experience. Will be supported financially to attend the WPC 2016 in Portland, OR. Attendance at WPC 2016 is required.

Time commitment:  starting immediately up through September 2016. Approx 5 - 10 hours weekly.

VOLUNTEER POSITION(S) (THREE open)

WPC 2016 Social Events volunteer

Looking for someone who is well organized, Internet/e-mail savvy, personable, who would like to help coordinate the WPC 2016 evening activities, including the WPC Film Night and the WPC Music, Movement and Parkinson's event. Person must have experience planning and overseeing events and able to work onsite, in Portland overseeing the events. Read more about the WPC 2016 at www.WPC2016.org.  Would consider a team of coordinators for these events.

Location: New York City, but possible for remote work.

Compensation: Volunteer position, but coordinator will be supported financially to attend the WPC 2016 in Portland, OR 

Time commitment:  starting immediately to end of September 2016. Approx 5 hours weekly with increase in hours as the WPC 2016 gets closer.

 

 

 

Power Through Project volunteer (www.powerthroughproject.org)

Looking for someone who is well organized, personable, passionate and eager to be a part of an amazing team of people creating the Power Through Project. Volunteer will be required to reach out to the community, build PTP networks, inspire people to build teams and keep moving. Phone calls and emails will be required.

Location: New York City, but possible for remote work.

Compensation: Volunteer position, but coordinator will be supported to attend the WPC 2016 in Portland, OR and possibly PTP events that are held leading up to the WPC 2016.

Time commitment:  Immediately to end of December 2016. Approx 10 hours weekly.

Looking for someone who is a strong writer, well organized, Internet/e-mail savvy, personable, to work on the communications plan and media outreach for the WPC 2016. Someone eager to learn and build WPC to outreach to media and media connections to increase exposure.

 

Location: New York City

Compensation: Volunteer position. Will be supported financially to attend the WPC 2016 in Portland, OR. Attendance at WPC 2016 is strongly encouraged as it's the culmination of all the work done in planning up to that point.

Time commitment:  starting immediately up through September 2016. Approx 5 - 10 hours weekly.
