HOURS: 10 – 12 hours, Monday – Thursday

INCUMBENT: None

REPORTING TO: Outreach Coordinator and Executive Director

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: Work closely with the Exec. Director and Outreach Coordinator to oversee the administrative work for the World Parkinson Coalition and for each World Parkinson Congress. Provide support to the Outreach Coordinator and Executive Director as needed.

World Parkinson Coalition TASKS: Receive and respond to all correspondence that comes into info@worldpdcoalition.org and what comes into the Contact Us inbox on the website.

  • Answer all incoming phone calls to World Parkinson Coalition.
  • Assist Executive Director by taking minutes at meetings as needed
  • Respond to requests from Organizational Partners for promotional materials or digital assets
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Outreach Coordinator and Executive Director.
  • Work with Executive Director to acknowledge donations made to the WPC by individuals between each Congress as well as during the Congress for those who donate to the Travel Grants Program.
  • Maintain fully the WPC database to ensure it's updated as needed and that it evolves as the WPC evolves
  • Represent the WPC at various scientific and patient-centered Parkinson's and neurology events
  • Coordinate in house mailings by mail merging data and facilitating the mailing process
  • Review and copy edit print and digital assets

INDIVIDUALS REPORTING TO INCUMBENT: None

TRAVEL OBLIGATIONS: based on need

SALARY: $16 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree or graduating senior.
  • One or more years working in an office environment, preferably non-profit.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Overall knowledge of MS programs (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as database programs.
  • Strong knowledge of, and comfortable using and learning about, IT and webcast technology.
  • Comfortable speaking with and working with an international and diverse team of individuals, some of whom live with Parkinson's disease.
