The World Parkinson Coalition is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing an international forum on Parkinson's disease. By bringing together physicians, scientists, nurses, rehab specialists, care partners and people with Parkinson's at the World Parkinson Congresses, we hope to create a worldwide dialogue to expedite the discovery of improved treatment practices for this devastating disease until a cure is found. Support people with Parkinson's & young investigators to attend the 5th World Parkinson Congress in Kyoto, Japan.

We provide travel grants to People with Parkinson's because they are what makes our congress special. Their insight into what day-to day life with the disease is like inspires researchers and clinician and shapes their future work. People with Parkinson's often discuss how empowering it is to be at an event with hundreds of other people living with the disease. They also describe the tremendous sense of hope they feel seeing all of the research being done surrounding Parkinson's. By donating to the travel grant you are enabling PwP's to attend the congress who otherwise wouldn't be able attend.

We also provide travel grants to young investigators who are working on or interested in working on Parkinson's disease. It is important to continue attract new talent to this area of research. This event provides them with the opportunity to network with leaders in the field and to display their work in the poster walk. By supporting the travel grant program you are also helping to build the next generation of researchers and clinicians.

Support an outstanding young investigator to attend the WPC 2019 to continue the legacy of WPC Founder & Past President, Dr. Stanley Fahn.

During the World Parkinson Congress twelve of the best poster presentations from young investigators are chosen to present during the Hot Topics session of the World Parkinson Congress. Of those twelve the Stanley Fahn Award for Outstanding Research is given to the best presenter. This award attracts young talent to our congress and allows them to build their credentials within the research community.

Support the Coalition, the organization behind the triennial World Parkinson Congresses and the WPC Scientific Updates.

There is a tremendous amount of work that takes place behind the scenes to make the World Parkinson Congress happen. A general donation to the organization enables us to pay for all the essentials it takes to make an office function.

Support this exciting online program that gives the community the opportunity to learn about scientific advances in the years between the Congresses.

The WPC Scientific Update webcast allows the global Parkinson's community to come together in between the congresses. Speakers from the previous World Parkinson Congress give updates on their research and provide insight on new developments in the field. The best part is that you have access to these sessions wherever you have internet access. No travel required!
