4th World Parkinson Congress

The 4th World Parkinson Congress needs your support in a number of ways, but most importantly, we need your help to send young investigators, young health care professionals and people with Parkinson's to Portland. There is no more powerful experience than attending theWPC and meeting to amazing array of leaders in the field who are trying to find a cure for Parkinson's. Help inspire others to take up Parkinson's as  their calling. Give the gift of Congress and change someone's life.

Support students/young investigators to attend the WPC 2016: Learning at the WPC and participating in such a meaningful Congress can help shape the minds and heart of students who are just now deciding whether or not to dedicate their lives to Parkinson’s care and research. Help us ‘catch’ them early on and get them committed to an important cause.

Support people with Parkinson’s (PwP) to attend the WPC 2016: Participating in such a meaningful Congress can help increase one's advocacy and when people with Parkinson's are engaged in their community, more gets done! Help PwPs stay engaged and inspire them to do more each and every day they face Parkinson’s. Remind them that they are not alone in this fight.
Support a young outstanding investigator to attend the WPC 2016. This person will be picked by the WPC leadership based on his/her outstanding work and great promise of further contributions to the Parkinson’s community.

Honor Dr. Fahn and his legacy as the Founder of the WPC by supporting this fund. Without his vision and dedication, this Congress would not exist today. Dr. Fahn is known for his mentorship and for training many Fellows over his long professional career. Many of his Fellows have gone on to be recognized as some of the best Movement Disorder doctors in the field today. Unlike the travel grants above, this award will cover all expenses for the participant and s/he will have the chance to share their work as part of the Hot Topics program one morning during the Congress.

World Parkinson Coalition
The Coalition is the organization behind the World Parkinson Congresses and the WPC Scientific Updates. We were the first organization globally to bring the international Parkinson's community together to engage and learn at a high level scientific meeting that OPENED the doors to people living with Parkinson's. It was a unique and daring idea back in 2004, but was quickly recognized as the new blue print for health meetings. If people with Parkinson's aren't at the meeting, what's the point, right?

Supporting the Coalition helps make our work possible as we continue to serve the community. Please consider supporting our work as we gear up for the WPC 2016. Every bit of support matters.
