|Who Should Attend?|
Neurologists, Physicians and Researchers
The third World Parkinson Congress in 2013 will offer medical professionals an incredible opportunity to join forces with the rest of the Parkinson's community—including doctors, researchers, rehabilitation professionals, people with Parkinson's, care partners, and government representatives from around the world. Working together, we hope to make strides towards finding a cure as well as identifying the best treatment practices for this devastating disease.
Whatever your discipline, whatever your specialty—whether you are a clinician or a researcher—you are certain to find topics that interest you at the WPC, as well as resources that can help you in your work. In addition, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with people, both inside and outside of your field, who are dedicated to winning the fight against PD.
The WPC will feature an extensive program of plenary sessions, symposia, and workshops with presentations and discussions devoted to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and the future of Parkinson's research. Workshops will address everything from basic scientific research and translational and clinical science, to models of care delivery and national and international approaches to curing Parkinson's. The Congress will also provide opportunities to complete coursework for CME credits.
