Care Partner Virtual Panels

At our triennial World Parkinson Congresses, people with Parkinson’s and care partners (CPs) play an active role in the program design. One area that is informed by care partners at each WPC is the Care Partner Lounge. The Lounge is an active space designed for CPs to come together to learn, connect, relax and be inspired. After the 5th World Parkinson Congress in 2019, we received feedback from care partners globally who indicated they wished they could be a part of the Care Partner Lounge, but due to travel inhibitions they could not partake in the activities. It was this feedback that inspired us to survey the community. Based on the feedback that came back to us from the CPs we surveyed, we decided to take the Care Partner Lounge virtual.

The topics below were chosen by the CPs we surveyed and fine-tuned by the planning committee*. Each virtual panel includes experts in the space as well as a couple that has agreed to discuss how they address the topic as hand. We call them our real experts. Panels are designed to be accessible and meaningful with tips and advice from people with many years of experience in the Parkinson’s space. Viewers may submit questions directly to the panelists during the live program. All programs will be archived through June 2022.
