The World Parkinson Coalition is headed to Spain where we will host the 6th World Parkinson Congress from July 4-7, 2023. In order to help prepare our delegates who live with Parkinson’s or care for someone with Parkinson’s,
we are launching the first ever WPC dual language webinar series in English and Spanish. Each topic covered is a topic that people with Parkinson’s have identified in survey data that they want or need more information to better
understand and to be able to make more informed decisions around treatment options.
We want our community members to live their best possible lives, but also to be able to articulately speak about Parkinson’s. The more they know about this disease, the better they can explain their needs to their healthcare team and better educate their families and communities.
We will offer this each set of webinars using bi-lingual Parkinson’s experts. These experts will present and take questions in two webinars back to back. The first webinar will be in English. Once this session ends, they will take a short break and then will give the same talk in Spanish. We believe that it’s important for people to hear about their disease and treatment options in their native language directly from the experts.

La World Parkinson Coalition se dirige a España, donde llevaremos a cabo el sexto Congreso Mundial de Parkinson del 4-7 de julio de 2023. Para ayudar a preparar a nuestros delegados que viven con Parkinson o que cuidan de alguien
con
la enfermedad de Parkinson, estaremos lanzando la primera serie de webinars en dos idiomas en la historia de la WPC, en inglés y español. Cada tema cubierto
es un tema que las personas con Parkinson han identificado en encuestas del que quieren o necesitan más información para un mayor entendimiento y para poder tomar decisiones informadas sobre las alternativas de tratamiento.
Queremos que los miembros de nuestra comunidad tengan la mejor vida posible, pero también que puedan hablar con precisión sobre el Parkinson. Mientras más sepan de la enfermedad, mejor podrán explicar sus necesidades a su equipo
médico y educar a sus familias y comunidades.
Ofreceremos esta serie de webinars presentando a expertos en Parkinson bilingües. Estos expertos presentarán
y recibirán preguntas en dos webinars seguidos. El primer webinar será en inglés. Una vez concluida la sesión, tomarán un breve receso y luego darán la misma presentación en español. Consideramos que es importante que las personas
escuchen sobre su enfermedad y sus alternativas de tratamiento en su lengua materna directamente de los expertos.
